As part of Mariana Tek’s ongoing city tour, we recently visited Nashville to explore what’s driving growth, connection, and innovation in the boutique fitness world. This stop gave us a firsthand look at the energy behind yoga in Nashville, where purpose, practice, and community are deeply woven together. Alongside the in-person experience, we also looked at insights from the Southeast Regional Report to better understand the data and trends shaping this corner of the industry.
In this article, we’re diving into regional data and talking about 5 of the best yoga studios in Nashville. These are the spaces where thoughtful leadership and meaningful movement come together to create something truly lasting.
This Nashville visit reminded me exactly why we do this work. I’m still feeling energized and inspired by the incredible fitness community we met there. From powerhouse studio owners to passionate operators and heart-led leaders, Nashville showed us what it means to build something real. It reinforced a simple truth: showing up, sharing space, and investing in people is what drives real progress in wellness.
Recap of Mariana Tek’s Founder Panel in Nashville
One of the most powerful evenings of our city tour so far this year came during our Thursday night event, She Built This: Female Founders Who Inspire.
The panel brought together some of the most visionary women in the local wellness space – Katy Richardson from Neighborhood Barre, Kim Struglinski from Heart of Wisdom Yoga, Ashley Dunbar from Juice Pharm, Kenzie Todd from Full Ride Cycling, and Kenzie Wesp from True Form Fitness and The Format.
The conversation that night was raw, honest, and deeply energizing. It was filled with insights that stuck with us long after the evening ended.
Core Themes from the Panel
The No Plan B Mindset
Not giving yourself the option to fail can shift everything. When success becomes the only choice, you become more resourceful, focused, and committed. Even without all the answers, you’re willing to figure it out.
Adaptability and Resilience
There is no fixed blueprint for building a business. The ability to pivot and recover from setbacks is what makes long-term growth possible.
Networking and Community Support
An open-hand mindset creates opportunity. Whether it is collaboration, shared resources, or just listening and learning, connection fuels progress.
Self-Trust
Belief in your own ability is the foundation for moving forward. Trusting your instincts and decisions gives you the clarity to lead, even in uncertainty.
“More isn’t always more. Expanding is hard. If you have the demand for it, the energy for it, and the team for it, that’s great. But don’t try to expand for the sake of expansion.”
-Kim Struglinski
Founder and Owner, Heart of Wisdom Yoga

The ability to adapt is key. Challenges will come, but how you respond determines how far you go.

Community matters. Building relationships, seeking input, and staying connected to others in your space creates momentum.
Mindset Matters
A strong mindset built on clarity, confidence, and self-belief makes the difference between giving up and pushing through.
“If you go into it with the mindset that you have to make it work, you will make it work.”
Katy Richardson

Quick Takes: Yoga Trends in the Southeast
While our panel gave us a powerful look into the mindset and mission behind studio leadership, we also wanted to understand the broader trends shaping the market. Data from Mariana Tek’s Southeast Regional Report helped us zoom out and see how yoga, and other boutique fitness modalities, are evolving across the region – from pricing and participation to patterns in growth and retention.
- Lower Prices, Higher Access
Boutique fitness classes in the Southeast average $20.72 per session. That is well below the national average of $27 and supports more regular attendance. - Flexible Schedules Are Key
Late morning and evening time slots are the most popular. Studios are adapting to meet demand beyond the traditional early morning rush. - Membership Takes Time
On average, clients attend five to six classes before becoming members. Experience and consistency matter more than quick conversions. - Seasonal Patterns Shape Strategy
Revenue peaks in January. Smaller increases happen in August and November. Studios use these rhythms to plan marketing and retention. - Growth Is Steady Across the Region
The Southeast is seeing strong participation in boutique fitness. Yoga is one of the leading drivers of this trend.
Yoga in the Southeast: What the Numbers Say About the Movement
The energy we experienced inside Nashville’s yoga studios is part of a broader shift in boutique fitness across the Southeast. According to Mariana Tek’s Southeast Regional Report, yoga and fitness studios in the region are seeing strong engagement and clear trends that point to continued growth.
Nashville is one of the top 5 revenue generating cities in the Southeast region.
This price is not specific to yoga. this is all boutique studio classes.

Studios across the region see high participation in late morning and evening classes. These flexible time slots reflect changing schedules and a growing demand for wellness that fits into people’s everyday lives.

Revenue trends follow a seasonal pattern. January consistently sees the highest spike, followed by more modest increases in August and November. These cycles help shape how studios plan promotions, programs, and retention strategies throughout the year.
While the report doesn’t break out Nashville specifically (outside of revenue) the regional trends offer helpful context for understanding the momentum behind yoga in this city and why it continues to thrive.

Final Thoughts
Our time in Nashville confirmed what we already knew from the data. The Southeast is a region on the rise in boutique fitness, and yoga is playing a major role in that momentum. But numbers only tell part of the story. What stood out most were the people, the spaces they have built, and the way they show up for their communities every single day.
This visit was part of Mariana Tek’s ongoing effort to connect with the studios, leaders, and regions shaping the future of wellness. From the insights in our Southeast Regional Report to the real conversations we had on the ground, it is clear that Nashville’s yoga community is one to watch.
The best yoga studios in Nashville are offering great classes and creating environments where people come not just to move, but to belong.
